Sensaal recently started some Roast Pan based dishes. And based on how they want customers to try it, it seems they have big plans for their roast pan.
I have been a reguler at Sensaal for a while. One day when I was there, cashier lady asked “Sir api roast pan akek try karamuda”. I was not in mode to try something new and I am not a fan of roast pan so I refused. It was lunch time, and for lunch I prefer their Lumprice. Which is quite good in my book.
However today I decided to give it a shot. And it was definitely not a must try delicacy, but it was interesting. This post would not qualify as a food review and I am not trying to market Sensaal. This is just what I felt about it, as someone who is not a big fan of Roast Pan.
They have few options covering fish, chicken and vegetables (Polos). It is basically a lightly grilled roast pan sandwich where filling is selected by you. Prices range from 200 to 300 and drink is included in the price. I went for “Cheese & Chicken” and selected Ice Coffee for drink and it also came with a watermelon salad.
Sensaal usually do not bother too much about presentation of food when it comes to regular meals. But this one looked like they actually though a bit about how it should be presented. And the presentation was quite good. It was not served as a face, as shown next to the menu. That would have been bit creepy.
Taste was, well, Ok. This is coming from someone who don’t like Roast Pan too much. If you are a Roast Pan person you would definitely like it. I would say it’s a good choice for a light dinner. But I am not sure if many would call a full roast pan a light meal. May be you can share one piece with someone. Ice coffee sort of filled me up. It would have been better If I picked a lighter beverage. You can actually select the beverage from number of options. So its not their fault.
However I made one mistake. I ordered this meal after my Saturday evening run. I forgot that, to chew Roast Pan you actually need some strength left in your body. It is not a good idea to order this after a workout.
