For those who use Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter, Google,  SOPA/PIPA is not news any more. I am not going to describe those again as you can find all about its good, bad, and ugliness by just searching for those two horrible acronyms.

Piracy is a problem for any industry I am not  trying to defend it. But this is not how you fight it. And in my opinion this is not even the fight they should be fighting in the first place.

Fight Piracy With Availability

IMO piracy is the answer that internet age has found for inaccessibility. Lower the availability you will find piracy spiking. Just think about it. World is not just US,Canada and UK any more. Most of the population is outside those regions and they too have TVs and Internet. If you live outside US/UK/Canada region how long do you have to wait till you can watch the latest Episode of your favorite TV show or a movie legally. Most likely your local cable channels don’t has it or few seasons behind or you will have to wait till a DVD release. Most people are not that much patient.

Water; Earth; Fire; Air; Long ago four nations lived in harmony. Then everything changed when fire nation attacked. But to really foul things up, Shyamalan made a movie out of it.

This is old news. But I’ll post this anyway to release my anger. According to AVATAR (Not the movie) it’s not a good thing to keep inside you for too long. I had to wait to write this until I finish watching the series. Because it’s not something you can take your mind off once you start watching.

I am not a fan of AVATAR The Last Airbender animated series. I had not seen it before ether. But the basic concept of the movie which is people being able to ‘bend’ one of natural elements and the existence a being who can ‘bend’ all elements kept me dreaming on how great a movie like that can be. It’s a totally out of the world concept with massive space for imagination. And a massive opportunity to make a movie like nothing world has ever seen. And that’s what Shyamalan ruined.

Are the wonders of our universe are cosmic accident or the results of intelligent design?
For centuries religion and science were bitter foes. Now science actively searches for our creator. Some physicists think he is hidden in the math. Neurologists think she might be in our brains. Computer coders believe God is one of them, and our world is nothing more than his simulation…!.

That’s how Morgan Freeman start the latest science documentary “Through The Wormhole” on Discovery Science Channel. It explores deep question such as “What are we made of? What was there before the beginning? Are we really alone? Is there a creator?”. Based on episode one it looks very promising.

First episode talks about the question of “Is there a Creator?”. Unlike most other science documentaries this one do not try to educate us on a specific leading hypothesis at the time. Instead it tries to present you all the different sides of it from all different sources such as science, religion,  biology, computing…. However in one of the interviews given Morgan Freeman has mentioned that some religious believers who interpret Bible literally might not like this.

I just watched the first episode. It was quite good. I did not exactly experience “quite the ride” that Morgan Freeman promised at the beginning, but it was good and different. Any way who am I to judge a series by its first episode .
